Accessibility Statement
Last updated
AV Method wants everyone — including people who use assistive technology — to be able to use this website.
01Our standard
We aim for this website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines describe how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, and more usable for everyone.
02What we've done
- Light and dark modes, switchable from the button in the header. By default the site follows your device setting.
- Color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for interface components, checked in both themes.
- Keyboard access to every link, menu, form and control, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to main content” link.
- Screen reader support through semantic HTML, landmarks, a logical heading order, descriptive alternative text for images, and labeled form fields with clear error messages.
- Reduced motion: animations are turned off when your device asks for less motion.
- Resizable text: pages reflow to 400% zoom without loss of content.
03Known limitations
Some decorative diagrams are simplified for screen readers and described in surrounding text rather than element by element. We review the site regularly and fix issues as we find them.
04Feedback
If you run into any barrier on this site, please tell us at hello@av-method.com. Let us know the page and what happened, and we'll work to fix it and get you the information you need in another format in the meantime.
